What Does a Lift Consultant Do?
We’re typically hired to work on the design, installation, modernisation or maintenance of vertical transport.
We work with a variety of lift types, including dumbwaiters, platform lifts, passenger lifts, goods lifts and glass lifts.
- Construction Projects. We’ll be brought in by a developer, or architect. As a lift consultant we’ll offer guidance on the number of lifts required, scope out the project, create design options, and carry out testing of the lift after installation.
- Modernisation Projects. Businesses with a legacy, or older lift, will need to carry out modernisation to keep their vertical transport compliant. We’re normally asked to inspect the lift and scope the project. We can then co-ordinate bids and manage the contract.
- Maintenance Audit. When businesses inherit lifts, they need a detailed report of its current condition before hiring a maintenance contractor. Tower Lifts will carry out a full inspection of your vertical transport, it’s current maintenance requirements and projected costs.
- Maintenance ROI. Once you have a maintenance contractor, you want to be sure you’re getting a good ROI. We’re often called in to audit the work of maintenance contractors. We’ll inspect the state of the lift, and ensure that you’re receiving a high quality service.
Isn’t a Lift Consultant Expensive?
Our services replace the cost of either employing a lift specialist, or training an existing employee in all the related areas they would need knowledge of. We’re also a good deal cheaper than managing the fall-out which might occur as the result of poor maintenance practices. Many of our clients report that our lift consultancy services have actually saved them money.
