Indoor Lifts for Homes

Indoor Lifts for Homes

Indoor lifts for homes have the potential to instantly transform the lives of around 20% of the population. How? By providing access to all floors of their houses. Indoor lifts allow elderly families to remain independent, in their own homes, rather than going into social care. And wheelchair users are able to adapt the homes they want to live in, rather than having to adapt their own desires to what’s available.

Over the past few decades indoor lifts have expanded in range and reduced in cost. Which makes it an excellent time to consider installing a lift in your home. Whether you’re looking to ‘future-proof’ your property, add value to your house, or transform your living environment immediately, Tower Lifts can help.

Tower Lifts Design Indoor Lifts for Homes

For nearly two decades now, Tower Lifts designers have been designing home lifts for elderly families and wheelchair users. We work with flexible platform lift technology because it allows us to adapt the lift to its environment, rather than the other way round. And because platform lifts don’t require a lift shaft, we’re able to install them fast and efficiently.

Types of Indoor Lifts for Homes

Different homes require different types of access. There are now a number of different basic designs to use as a starting point. These can then be customised, and finished to seamlessly integrate with the style & décor of your home.

  • Straight Inclined Platform Lifts. If the staircase will be your primary access throughout the house, our designers can create elegant wheelchair lifts to navigate straight stairways.
  • Curved Inclined Platform Lifts. Wheelchair lifts can be designed to fit the curve of virtually any stairway. We’ve even created curved inclined lifts for spiral staircases.
  • Step Lifts. An ideal solution for homes with split-level flooring, or steps leading to the front door. The lift will carry a wheelchair up a short flight of steps and can be installed indoors or out.
  • Vertical Platform Lift. A through-floor lift design, providing access for up to 5 floors. The cabin looks like a traditional lift and can be customised to match the style of your home.

Bespoke Home Lifts

We’re now fitting a number of luxury home lifts for customers wanting to increase the value of their property. Bespoke vertical transport fulfils exactly the same function as the platform lifts already described. Where they differ is in the level of customisation. We can recess home lifts into the floor of your home, making them unobtrusive until activated. Another option is to camouflage a step lift by integrating it invisibly into a short flight of stairs.
