Hotel Goods Lifts

Hotel Goods Lifts

A Range of Hotel Goods Lifts

Hotel goods lifts may not have the elegance of the passenger lift in reception, but they are critical to keeping the glamour of the hotel ambiance in place. Goods lifts, in all their guises, support cleaners, waiters and porters as they work to provide excellent service for hotel guests.

A large hotel will need a range of hotel goods lifts to fulfil numerous different functions. The Tower Lifts engineers are veterans when it comes to designing and installing lifts for hotels in London and across the UK. In this blog, we consider the different types of lifts required.

1. The Dumbwaiter Lift

The hotel dumbwaiter carries food and drinks between floors. It may be that the kitchen is on a different floor to the dining room, or the dumbwaiter may be used to carry room service meals safely. The advantage of having a dumbwaiter – especially in a busy hotel dining room – is that there is no need for waiters to use a service staircase. Instead, the food is delivered safely and hygienically to diners’ tables.

2. Goods Only Lifts

Hotel goods only lifts are specifically designed for use with cleaning supplies, laundry, small pieces of equipment, or fresh food deliveries. They feature a modular structure with a self-supporting design. This means that there’s no need for a pit and a lift shaft. Our goods only lifts can be installed quickly and easily, without any major disruption to the running of the business.

3. Heavy Duty Car Lift

The Tower Lifts specially designed heavy duty car lift is able to bear loads of up to 5,000kg. This means that it’s capable of transporting virtually any road vehicle. We offer both hydraulic and traction vehicle car lifts, and there are a number of ways in which the lift can be customised to meet your exact requirements.

4. Goods Lift (With Attendant)

Guests’ luggage can be heavy and unwieldy. The goods lift with attendant allows for the safe transport of awkwardly shaped items between floors, with someone accompanying them. The structure is modular, meaning that no extensive structural alteration is required. The lift is capable of carrying up to 2000kg and runs on a traction drive.

Tower Lifts Design Bespoke Hotel Goods Lifts

If you have special requirements for your hotel goods lifts, the Tower Lifts team can create a bespoke design. Virtually any part of the lift system can be customised to meet with clients’ requirements, including: size, security features, operating mechanism, and cabin features. Our designers are used to working in busy environments and will cause minimal disruption to the life of the hotel.
