Fitting a Domestic House Lift in London

We were recently delighted to be asked to fit a 3-stop passenger lift in a five storey house in London’s fashionable Eaton Square. Despite the size of this elegant town house, there was insufficient space available for the pit required by the EU Lifts Directive. An application to the Department Business, Innovation and Skills was made, and we were granted a derogation order, allowing us to install a lift with a reduced pit depth of 400mm.
